Was There A Girl With A Crush On Jesus?

This question is an interesting one. It's up high in the ranks of deep theological questions like: "Did Adam and eve have belly buttons," and other deep questions of the same nature. Imagine the following conversation by the lockers at Galilee High School:

Girl 1: "Here he comes!"

Girl 2: "Isn't he cute?"

Girl 1: "Yeah, he's just so, so..."

Girl 2: "So, what?"

Girl 1: "He's just so perfect!"

Well, Girl 1, you're not wrong! Jesus was perfect, in every way! Mary Poppins has nothing on Jesus! He was perfect because he was wholly God! But, in contrast, he was also wholly man. It's funny to think, but it's true. Jesus was once a baby, and a toddler, and a teen, and a man just like everyone else. He knew what it was like to have the hiccups, scrape his knee, or be so exhausted he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. He probably had a favorite meal, or favorite Psalm, or favorite fishing hole. He was all the way human. But with that said, we must NOT forget that he was all the way God. He was the perfect, spotless, sacrificial lamb of God.

So this Christmas, as we celebrate the God-ness of God, let's not forget that God almighty became a man, just like us.
