Luke 10:38-42 tells of two of Jesus' good friends, Mary and Martha. In this story, Martha is busy making the food in the kitchen and generally cleaning house when she sees Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus and listening to His teaching. Now, Martha is flustered and decides to tell Mary off. "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me!"(Luke 10:40b ESV) Man, don't I wish I could tell my sister to start helping me! Jesus then goes on to tell her that Mary has chosen the best option. That makes me think a moment. We can get caught up in a lot of things. Sexual sin, Lust, theft, lying, blasphemy. Even school, cleaning, chores, organisation, all of which can be good things, but if they take priority in our life over Jesus Christ, we are going to be in a world of hurt until we return to the feet of Jesus just like Mary, and decide to truly follow Jesus.
