A Dead Gold Fish

In this world, there are many things competing for our attention. Music, DIY Books, Video Games, Movies, Magazines, and so much more. We, as Christians, are to be in the world, but not of the world. We are not to immerse ourselves in the world's goods. I am not saying that everything the world has to offer is bad, personally I enjoy wearing clothes. I think most of you do too! When we start immersing ourselves in the world, it's like immersing a gold fish in a bowl of honey. It's liquid-sort of, but that gold fish will die. So the next time you are tempted to dunk yourself in the world, think of the gold fish. Don't give in!
