How would you finish this sentence: "The world will know we are Christians by ___." Intellectual knowledge of the Bible? Memorization of the entire Westminster Catechism? Ability to quote all of Leviticus? We as Christians often forget what should be the most important quality to us. In 1 Corinthians 13:13 it says: "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."(ESV) Love. Not intelligence. Not age. Not eloquence. Love. It's so ridiculously simple! John 13:35 says: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."(NIV) That's how I would answer the above statement. Love. I hope that's how you would too.
